Classification Of Flat Bar
Flat steel refers to a steel with a width of 12-300mm,flat bar a thickness of 3-60mm, a rectangular cross-section and slightly dull edges. Flat steel can be a finished steel product, flat bar or it can be used as a billet for welded pipes and thin slabs for stacked sheets. Main use: Flat steel can be used as a finished material to make hoop iron, tools and mechanical parts, flat bar and used as building structure and escalator in construction.
Metals can be divided into ferrous metals, steels and non-ferrous metals according to their structure. Before introducing the classification of steel, I will briefly introduce the basic concepts of ferrous metals, flat bar steel and non-ferrous metals. Ferrous metals refer to iron and iron alloys. Such as steel, pig iron, iron, alloy, cast iron, flat bar etc. Both steel and pig iron are alloys based on iron and carbon as the main additive element, flat bar collectively referred to as iron-carbon alloys. Pig iron is a product made by smelting iron ore in a blast furnace, flat bar which is mainly used for steelmaking and castings.
The cast iron is smelted in an iron melting furnace to obtain cast iron (liquid),flat bar and the liquid cast iron is cast into a casting, which is called a cast iron. Ferroalloy is an alloy composed of iron and silicon, manganese, chromium, flat bar titanium and other elements. Ferroalloy is one of the raw materials for steelmaking. It is used as steel deoxidizer and alloy element additive during steelmaking.
